Registered Care Manager – Stallcombe House

Salary circa £40, 000 per annum depending on skills and experience.

Relocation assistance may be available.

Stallcombe House and farm is a residential community for adults with learning disabilities based just outside Woodbury in East Devon. We provide a happy and safe work place with a holistic and organic approach to supporting our residents.

An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for the right candidate as Registered Care Manager at Stallcombe House and Farm.  Taking overall responsibility for the provision of care across the organisation this role will also develop and implement strategic plans for care to ensure the best possible future for the residents.  Part of this role is to be the Registered Manager and the Senior Safeguarding lead for Stallcombe.

The role will also lead, manage and develop care staff suitable to ensure that all care is to the highest standard, is statutorily compliant and follows best practice.

A key part of the role will be to positively promote and follow the ethos and philosophy of Stallcombe House when working with residents, day placement guests, families, staff and other professionals.

This is a senior role which provides the deputy support in the absence of the Head of Charity.

This is an excellent opportunity to lead the delivery of care in a unique environment.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate: -

  • Excellent understanding of the principles of high quality care and a proven track record of working at a senior level in a high quality care provision.
  • Significant experience of working with and supporting adults with learning difficulties.
  • Level 5 Diploma in ‘Leadership for Health and Social care and Children and Young People’s Services’ (or equivalent qualification).
  • Able to successfully complete a ‘fit persons’ interview with the CQC to obtain Registered Manager status.
  • An in-depth understanding of the regulatory and statutory requirements in relation to the provision of care.
  • Experience of managing staff.
  • Strong leadership skills that inspire and motivate both residents and staff.
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills

At Willows, we are looking to recruit a full time waking night Support Worker, working on a shift pattern of 4 nights on and 4 nights off – 10.5 hours per night.  We offer a competitive salary of £9.50 p/h, 32 days holiday, and, after a qualifying period, a generous benefits package.

At Stallcombe, we are looking to recruit a full time Support Worker, working 38.5 hours per week which will include shifts and weekends, and also a part time Support Worker.

Experience and qualifications, although desirable, are not essential as full, intensive induction and training will be given.
